KINETIC MOTORSPORTS CAPTURES 4th PLACE AT THE GLEN

June 7, 2008 - Buford, GA – June 7, 2009 –Kinetic Motorsports competes in round 6 of Grand-Am's KONI Challenge race, TheGlen.com 200. The lengthy 3.4 mile Watkins Glen International race track was not without its challenges but Kinetic Motorsports managed to capture a top five finish.

Qualifying fifth, the #32, Cobalt Friction/Cybernation/Traqmate sponsored BMW E46 driven by Glenn Bocchino and Todd Lamb pulled it out in the last lap to finish 4th in the 21 car field. A well earned accomplishment especially considering rainy track conditions and the fact that Lamb didn't turn his first lap until race day.

"We had a bit of rain early in the race and our car was great under damp conditions.", stated Lamb. "It began to sprinkle again in the closing laps and I was hoping it would play in our favor. Sure enough, we gained two more spots in the final lap! The Kinetic crew did a good job rallying after a disappointing first day, working late into the evening to make sure we would have a great car for the race."

"The Kinetic Motorsports team did a great job bouncing back this week.", said Bocchino. "With two transmission/clutch issues which virtually took us out of all the practice sessions, qualifying was first experience testing the set up on the car, which was pretty good right out of the box. I was satisfied qualifying 5th but knew the car had more in it. Todd did a great job again! Considering the first time he turned a lap in the Kinetic Motorsports M3 was in the race. Special thanks to the Kinetic Motorsports team for breaking my three year Watkins Glen curse! Great 4th Place Finish!"

Kinetic driver Frankie Montecalvo and pro-driver, Gunnar Jeannette qualified 18th but worked their way through the pack with their #87 BMW sponsored by Montecalvo Disposal/Bayshore Recycling Corp., to run in the top 12 along with sister car; #33 Luna-C Clothing sponsored BMW driven by Kinetic co-owner Russell Smith and driver Lee Davis who qualified 14th.

"Watkins Glen was a challenging event.", stated Kinetic Team Manager, Ed Hall. "The drivers and crew worked together to finish off with a great race. At one point we had all three cars inside the top 12 but unfortunately we had a mechanical failure on the #33 and contact was made with a competitor with the #87. Despite some of our misfortune, we are thrilled with our 4th place finish!"

Kinetic co-owner/driver, Russell Smith, "We had some ups and downs at The Glen but overall, our crew and drivers did a great job. We will celebrate our accomplishments and rebound from our challenges and are looking ahead to Mid-Ohio."

TheGlen.com 200 will air on SPEED TV June 14 at 2:00pm ET. Kinetic Motorsports next KONI Challenge race is June 21st at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio.
