KINETIC MOTORSPORTS ANNOUNCES ITS FOUR CAR DRIVER LINE-UP FOR THE KONI CHALLENGE, FRESH FROM FLORIDA 200 AT DAYTONA

Buford, GA - January 20, 2009 - Kinetic Motorsports is proud to announce their four car line up for their 3rd season competing in the GS class of the Grand-Am KONI Sports Car Challenge.
Car #32 - BMW E46 M3: Cybernation/Ecocomp
Drivers: Glenn Bocchino and Todd Lamb
Glenn Bocchino and Todd Lamb are teaming up for their first race of the 2009 season. Bocchino rolled his highly successful i-Moto racing.com KONI (ST) experience into the Kinetic Motorsports platform. Bocchino was the winner of the (ST) class at Daytona in 2008 and is hoping to repeat his performance with co-driver, Todd Lamb. Lamb who raced successfully with Kinetic last season brings a wealth of experience and speed to the partnership having captured the 2008 National Spec Miata NASA championship. Lamb also co-drove with pro drivers, Andy Lally and Nic Jonsson in the same car last season to achieve strong finishes in the KONI Challenge. Both Bocchino and Lamb are expected to be strong contenders for the GS Championship in 2009.
Car #80 - BMW E46 M3: Kinetic Motorsports
Drivers: Lance Willsey and Chip Herr
Driver Lance Willsey has three Daytona 24 hour races under his belt, as well as several seasons in IMSA Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge and various other club racing experience under his belt joined Kinetic Motorsports for the first time to experience their BMW platform. Willsey is teaming up with pro-driver, Chip Herr who is making his GS debut and is looking to emulate the success he has enjoyed in Speed World Challenge (SWC) driving for Tindol Racing as well as other successful SWC teams.
"I'm really excited about teaming up with Kinetic Motorsports and Lance Willsey for my first run in KONI GS.", Herr commented. "We have a competitive and reliable BMW M3 and I'm ready to go racing!"
Car #79 - BMW E92 M3 V8: Kinetic Motorsports
Drivers: Nic Jonsson and Gunnar Jeannette
Kinetic Motorsports co-owner and pro-driver, Nic Jonsson, will be pulling double duty at the wheel in the Krohn Racing, Proto-Auto Lola powered by Ford for the Rolex 24, as well as, the new Kinetic BMW E92 M3 in KONI GS. Jonsson will team up with experienced race car driver, sky-diver, mountain climber, base jumper and all-round adrenaline junkie, Gunnar Jeannette. The two will debut the Kinetic built, BMW M3 E92 V8 in the KONI Challenge on Friday, January 23rd.
"Clearly the car is competing for the first time and has not gone through extensive testing or development to date.", said Jonsson. "We will use this race to shake-down the car and establish some performance parameters that we'll then build upon as the 2009 season progresses. The crew has built a truly magnificent car and I am looking forward to working with them going forward to make this car the best it can be."
Car #78 - BMW E46 M3: Kinetic Motorsports / Luna-C Racing
Drivers: Lee Davis and Russell Smith
Teaming up for their second season together, drivers Lee Davis and Kinetic co-owner, Russell Smith, have migrated from the ST class to the GS for the 2009 season and are eager to experience racing with a little more power.
"Our first season in Grand-Am was a lot of fun and a steep learning curve for both of us.", said driver Lee Davis. "We are excited about transitioning to the E46 platform and continue to add our knowledge and experiences."
