Buford, GA – Atlanta based Kinetic Motorsports continues its' long standing relationship with one of the country's premiere motorsports training programs at Lanier Technical College. The partnership, which began in 2005, continues to benefit both Lanier students aiding with career goals, as well as, Kinetic's short and long term goals as a leading provider of Client Based Motorsport Programs.
"It is our privilege to have this partnership with Kinetic Motorsports.", says Lanier Motorsports Vehicle Technology Director, Bud Hughes. "Kinetic's helps keep our curriculum current and provides opportunities that we could not exist without. They continue supporting us in the education of our young, up and coming talent."
Lanier Technical College located in Oakwood, Georgia has provided mechanics to NASCAR Sprint Cup, Nationwide and Camping World Truck series. Over the course of 9 years, Lanier Tech has proven to be one of the top recruiting sources for motorsport s programs across the country.
"I have worked with this program and Bud Hughes since inception of the Motorsports Vehicle Technology program in 1997.", said Kinetic Motorsports Team Manager, Ed Hall. "It's always exciting to watch the young people they train develop into outstanding motorsport technicians. Lanier's development program is extremely thorough and you know you are getting a well-rounded, qualified tech with extensive knowledge of the business as a whole."
Currently and throughout the 2009 school year, Kinetic's will assist in the training of "real life" experiences with the motorsport students at Lanier. This past week, Kyle Leo, Kinetic's Transportation Administrator, talked with students about operating the equipment on Kinetic's own state-of-the-art Featherlite transporter. Leo demonstrated exercises from opening the lift gate to operating the generator to an overall "do's and don'ts" of loading thousands of dollars in equipment on and off the transporter.
"Since Kinetic Motorsports started in 2005, we have recruited two of Bud's students, one of which is still a part of the Kinetic team." stated Kinetic Crew Chief, Adam Wareing. "So far this year, we have welcomed two additional students as part of Kinetic's KONI Challenge team, both of whom have already made significant impacts to the motorsports program.
