Seth Thomas of Cumming, GA qualified 2nd for the season opener of the SCCA Pro-Racing Speed World Challenge Touring Car series at Sebring, Florida last weekend.
Thomas capitalized on his grid position with a stunning start that earned him the "Autoweek Move Of The Race" – he then proceeded to retain the lead for the 18 lap race. Kinetic Sunbelt Engines owner, Jim Thompson, was extremely pleased with the engines and Seth's performance.
"We know that we have been close a number of times with Seth so this has been a long time coming and we are delighted that he has this well deserved victory." said Thompson. "The BMW E90 engine was recently strapped with a 45% air restrictor which required some hard work re-calibrating and tuning of the stout engine and we are obviously pleased the effort paid off."
Kinetic Sunbelt Engines which builds and supplies race engines to Bimmerworld was on hand during the week to add fine tuning to the strong engine and was delighted to have been a part of Seth's first victory in the series.
