KINETIC MOTORSPORTS RETURNS TO THE GLEN

Buford, GA – June 4, 2009 – Atlanta based, Kinetic Motorsports heads to New York for round 6 of Grand-Am's KONI Challenge race. TheGlen.com 200 will take place at the 3.4 mile, 11-turn, Watkins Glen International race track on June 5 at 4:00pm ET. Kinetic will be entering three BMW M3's in the 21 field, Grand Sport (GS) class.
Kinetic welcomes the return of pro-driver Gunnar Jeannette and his co-driver, a young talent from New Jersey, Frankie Montecalvo for their second race together. The two will be piloting the #87 Montecalvo Disposal/Bayshore Recycling Corp. sponsored BMW E46. Early practice sessions proved positive running 3rd with a time of 2:05.052 (97.879 mph). This is the first time since 2007 that all top-five GS cars were faster than the track qualifying record, set by Tom Long with at time of 2:05.134. Jeannette and Montecalvo's future pairings will be at Mid-Ohio on June 21st and Barber Motorsports Park, July 19th.
The duo of Glenn Bocchino and Todd Lamb will hit the track in their #32 Cobalt Friction, Cybernation, Traqmate sponsored BMW E46. These fast and furious drivers have had great success throughout the year and at The Glen as Lamb led this race last year in his GS debut with Kinetic.
"I'm looking forward to racing at Watkins Glen, it's one of my favorite events of the year.", stated Kinetic driver, Todd Lamb. "We have a good setup from last year and this is a great opportunity to pick up our first win of the season."
Kinetic driver, Lee Davis and co-owner/driver, Russell Smith are taking to the track for repeat success in their #33, Luna-C sponsored BMW E46.
"We love this track.", says Kinetic co-owner/driver, Russell Smith. "Lee and I enjoy driving together and work hard at staying out of trouble, being consistent and working our way through the field. We've made great strides and are in the hunt for our podium finish."
"We have raced well here in the past.", stated Ed Hall, Team Manager for Kinetic Motorsports. "We were in a position to score a podium finish last year with less than ten laps to go when we had contact with another car, causing us to settle for 10th. We have a fantastic line-up this year and are extremely optimistic and anxious for a great performance."
