Kia Motors America’s relationship began in July 2009 with a request for information about racing. A month later Kinetic had built a display car in the form of a Grand-Am Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge ST car for display at the opening of Kia’s new and first manufacturing plant in the US at West Point Georgia. From there, the car was transported to the SEMA show where Kia announced its intention to take the Kia Forte Koup racing in 2010 in the Grand-Am Series. Numerous other stops for the car included the Detroit Auto Show, Chicago Auto Show and many others. In October 2009, two of the new Forte Koups arrived at Kinetic’s Buford Georgia facility to begin the tear down and build up process that transforms perfectly good street cars into a fully compliant race cars from the Grand-Am Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge.

Kinetic Motorsports will campaign the Koups on Kia’s behalf with full factory support, backing and engineering and are proud to represent their sponsors Infinity Audio products.
