KINETIC SPEED SHOP PREPARES FOR HOME TRACK PCA EVENT

Buford, Ga. – Kinetic Speed Shop is gearing up for one of its biggest events of the season with the annual Porsche Club of America (PCA) event at Road Atlanta March 30th through April 1st.  In addition to being both a proud National as well as Regional PCA sponsor, this will mark the second year in a row that Kinetic has been a sponsor of the event and would have it no other way as Road Atlanta is only 15 minutes away from the shop.

As usual, the list of clients attending the event under Kinetic Speed Shop support is extensive with 12 Porsches joining the effort.  Kinetic is proud to have Lee Davis, Jorge DeMacedo, Daniel Eastman, Craig Foster, Kim and Paul Gutowski, David Hinkle, Bob Nonneman, Karl Salnoske, Russell Smith, Kevin Violette and Fred Wicks on board for the weekend and anticipates excellent results for the event. 

“This is by far one of our largest events in terms of client support as well as exposure,” said Kinetic General Manager Ed Hall.  “We anticipate this event all year long and have been working extremely hard to make sure everything is ready to go for the races.  The shop will basically relocate to Road Atlanta this weekend with full staff to support all of our valued clients.  We appreciate the opportunities that PCA gives us to be an active part in both National and Regional events and especially look forward to joining them again here at our home track.”

This event will be unique for all competitors as it will mark the first PCA event at the famous road course since the track received new pavement.  It is likely that the upgrade will change the driving experience a bit so Kinetic technicians are preparing for the event as is it was a brand new track.

“Obviously our drivers are not strangers to Road Atlanta having raced here countless of times,” said Car Chief Bill Welsh.  “With that said, this will be an entirely new experience for our clients as well as the rest of the field with track’s new surface.  Drivers will likely encounter many differences including rough spots that they are not accustomed to.  The track however is definitely safer with the additional runoff areas.  The test days will provide our clients valuable practice time on the new surface and prepare them for some good hard racing on Saturday and Sunday.  All of the guys here at the shop are prepared and I expect great results this weekend!”
