Like the Rolex Series, the KONI Challenge Series is made up of two classes of race cars. The big-bore Grand Sport (GS) class features a rules package that allows exotic international machines like the Porsche 996 and 997, Nissan 350Z, BMW M3 and others to go head-to-head with American iron such as the Pontiac GTO and the Ford Mustang GT. The smaller Street Tuner (ST) class is Grand American's offering to the import and compact car crowd, with the Mazda RX-8, Chevrolet Cobalt SS, Dodge SRT4, Mini Cooper S, Acura RSX and TSX, a variety of BMWs and other models eligible. In 2007, the GS and ST classes will run separately from each other in every race with the exception of the Daytona opener and at Watkins Glen International in July. www.grand-am.com

PCA - PORSCHE CLUB OF AMERICA

PCA Club Racing has classes for every type of Porsche. It was established around several guiding principles. First, there should be a class for all Porsche sports cars, including both street and modified cars. Second, the racing is to be fun, safe, and clean. This principle is embodied in the strict enforcement of the "13/13 Rule", which provides for immediate sanctions against any driver at fault in any incident involving car damage. Third, the organization and operation of Club Races is to be uniform, so that any racer may attend any Club Race and know exactly what to expect One or several regions organize each race, and have full financial responsibility for their race. www.pca.org

PBOC puts on 11 events a year including tracks such as Sebring, Homestead, Barber Motorsports Park, Road Atlanta and many others. PBOC only puts on driving events, and the weekends always consist of both high performance drivers' schools and racing. The emphasis is on having a fun, safe and family oriented weekend for BMW, Porsche and other driving enthusiasts. www.pbocflorida.com
